Thank you to all of the students that submitted designs for the Dream Home competition. The work in general was pleasantly of a high caliber and provided for many hours of heated debate over a variety of merits in the selection of the fifteen Finalists. The jury was comprised of myself, Erin O'Neill, the Exhibitions Manager of the August Wilson Center, and William Kofmehl, an Adjunct Professor of Media Arts at Robert Morris University. This jury with an eye for the aesthetics was specifically chosen to place an emphasis on the creative and imaginative aspects of the submissions. For the students that were not named a Finalist, in many cases it was not a lack of ability or effort, but simply a consequence of the requirement to narrow a selection to fifteen. I hope you enjoyed the assignment and process, and for those who are not seniors, I look forward to seeing your work again next year.
